The most dominant boys' cross-country program in state history begins the 2008 season once again with a target on their back.

The Carmel Greyhounds, 10-time state champions and nine-time state runners-up, occupy the top spot in the initial Indiana Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches' poll for the 2008 season.

Carmel, led by legendary coach Chuck Koeppen who enters his 41st and final season, finished third at last year's state meet.
