Playing on the Shelbyville pitch Pendleton Heights struggled to find their offense. A 0-0 tie at halftime turned into a 1-0 lead by the Golden Bears after a miscommunication between an Arabian defender and goalkeeper Gage Martin at the 28:42 mark of the 2nd half.

Arabian Josh Petry blasted a shot into the net off a Jake Tuttle assist to tie the match at the 7:42 mark.

The final score in regulation was 1-1, and this being a conference match with implications, the match went to a “shootout”. The shootout ended at 4-3 with PHHS on top.

Shots on goal: (excluding the shootout)
PHHS 4 Shelbyville 7

Saves:
PHHS( Martin) 6 Shelbyville 3

The Arabians are now 10-4-1 and 5-1 in HHC play. Thursday’s home match against HHC rival New Palestine, also 5-1 in conference play, will determine which team shares the conference crown with Mt. Vernon.
