Every month, one male and one female athlete are chosen for a $1,000 scholarship for higher education courtesy of Dial One Hour Heating and Air.






Betsy Jones – Cardinal Ritter High School

Betsy is a member of the cross-country and track teams at Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter. For three seasons, Betsy has been the captain of the varsity cross-country team leading her Raiders team through the fall season. Betsy fills leadership roles in all aspects of her high school career. She is student body Vice President and ranked in the top two of her graduating class. In addition to her myriad responsibilities at Ritter, Betsy is also active in her community and church where she leads the youth group and participated in a medical mission to Haiti. For all of Betsy’s contributions to her school, team and community, IHSAASports.org and Dial One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning are proud to award her a $1,000 scholarship towards the cost of higher education.




Jonathan Behrens – Evansville Memorial High School

Jonathan is a member of the soccer team at Memorial High School. During his tenure with the soccer team they have ascended the ranks of Indiana soccer twice taking the IHSAA state championship title in 2007 and 2008. During those same years, the team was consistently ranked in the top two teams nation-wide. In the two years that Jonathan played on the varsity soccer team at Memorial, the team had a sparkling 46-0-4 record. When he is not giving 100% on the field, Jonathan is putting his effort to work in the classroom where he has received high honors and is a member of the National Honor Society and Academic All State team. Jonathan works hard to support others as well. He developed the ‘physician shadow’ program at Memorial and organized an intramural volleyball program that raises money for local families afflicted with the skin disease Epidermolysis Bullosa. Jenna Fumo – Marquette Catholic High Schol

Jenna is a member of the varsity volleyball, track and tennis teams at Marquette Catholic High School. While a member of the volleyball team, Jenna has made four appearances at the IHSAA State Finals and contributed to the 2008 State Championship team. Jenna is the Libero for her Blazers team and amassed 347 digs on the 2008 campaign entering the State Finals. In addition to her multitude of on court accomplishments, Jenna continues to excel as a student at Marquette Catholic and contributes as a strong member of her community. Bryan Doucey – Center Grove High School

Bryan is a member of the varsity Football team at Center Grove High School. As a linebacker, Bryan helped lead his team in their come-from-behind victory in the 2008 5A Football State Championship game. He has been with his team through all four years of high school while at the same time concentrating on his studies. Bryan has a 3.95 GPA as a Trojan and excelled on the SAT exam. Bryan is looking forward to a collegiate career at Indiana University with a major in chemistry. Bryan’s coach in the Center Grove football program classified him as “Center Grove’s best scholar athlete.” For Bryan’s constant effort and proven success, IHSAASports.org and Dial One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning are proud to award him a $1,000 scholarship towards the cost of higher education.



Brittany Farmer - Terre Haute North High School
Brittany is a member of the varsity Tennis and Volleyball teams at Terre Haute North High School. In 2008, Brittany was co-captain of the Patriot Volleyball team and a full season starter. Each spring, Brittany excels on the tennis court where she holds a 62-7 lifetime record. In 2008, Brittany was 1st Team all MIC, all District, all County and all-wabash Valley spring Co-player of the Year. When she is not participating in IHSAA sanctioned tennis, Brittany travels to country competing nationally since the age of 12. In the classroom, Brittany has maintained a 3.9 GPA and is ranked 9th in her class of 420. She is also a member of the National Honor Society. Kristoffer Skipton – Shelbyville High School
Kristoffer is a member of the varsity Football, Basketball and Baseball teams at Shelbyville High School. He has been the quarterback of the Golden Bear Football team during their last two seasons leading them to a school record number of victories all the while maintaining a 3.7 GPA. He is a member of the National Honor Society. As a centerfielder on the baseball team, Kristoffer set a school record for putouts by an outfielder that currently ranks 5th all time in the state of Indiana. Kristoffer volunteers as a Shelbyville Boys Club Youth Football coach as well as assisting at the Shelbyville High School preschool program during his only study hall. Chelsea Kolger - Richmond High School
Chelsea is a varsity member of the Richmond Red Devils Volleyball team in 2008. She has been a part of the volleyball program at Richmond for four years and was previously a varsity basketball player as well. In the spring, Chelsea looks to finish off her athletic resume as a member of the varsity tennis team. When she is not playing herself, Chelsea is an assistant coach for a local 5th/6th grade girls basketball team and assists with summer camps in volleyball and basketball. In the classroom, Chelsea holds a 3.6 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society. In the fall of the 2008, Chelsea was chosen by her peers as Homecoming Queen. Taylor Sanders - Bedford North Lawrence High School
Taylor Sanders is a member of the varsity Swimming team at Bedford North Lawrence High School. Taylor is ranked 2nd in this year's senior class, has earned a 4.20 GPA, and is currently a National Merit Semifinalist. He is involved in several different organizations on campus; taking the initiative to found one himself. A Founder and President of the Campus Chapter of Habitat for Humanity, Taylor has continued to lead others around him in a worthwhile endeavor. As an athlete, Taylor sets the bar high for every swimmer that comes into the Bedford North Lawrence swim program, both current and future. As a three-time BNL team captain, Taylor has shown great leadership abilities both in and out of the pool. Over the course of the 2007-2008 regular season, Taylor was undefeated in the 200-yard Individual Medley and placed first in many other events. Taylor has been All-Conference every year since entering high School. He also has achieved three Individual Sectional Titles, one Sectional Relay Title while setting sectional records in two events last season. Ashlee Fishburn - Perry Meridian High School
Ashlee is a varsity member of the Swimming and Diving team at Perry Meridian High School. "Fish" as she is nicknamed, is a Conference Champion, Sectional Champion, State Qualifier and Girls Swim Team Captain. Her state qualifying time in the 100m butterfly made Ashlee the only female athlete to reach the state finals in more than five years. When she is not streaking through the pool, Ashlee is hard at work in the classrooms as PMHS. In her high school tenure, Ashlee has amassed an impressive GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society. Her extensive resume has provided Ashlee the opportunity to mentor and tutor middle school students during her free time. Ethan Cuevas – North Central High School
Ethan is a member of the varsity football, wrestling and track and field programs at North Central High School. Throughout high school Ethan has been deeply involved in Panther athletics and continues to be a major contributor to each season in his senior year. As a wrestler, Ethan finished his high school career with a 42-2 record. On March 10, 2009 the Indianapolis Star picked Ethan for the "Wrestling Super Team".(285 lb class). In addition to his lengthy athletic record, Ethan has maintained a GPA that has placed him on high honor roll. When Ethan is not in the classroom or on the field, he is involved in his local church community and aids as a Sunday school teacher. Lindsey Malin - Wood Memorial High SchoolLindsey is a varsity member of the Volleyball and Tennis teams at Wood Memorial High School. She has been honored with multiple awards for her contributions to the Trojan Volleyball team in the fall and is no slouch on the Tennis courts each spring. Over her high school career, Lindsey has a 51-9 record with the racket. In addition to dedicating herself to athletics at Wood Memorial, Lindsey has stayed focused on her school work and amassed a strong high school GPA and respect amongst her peers. When not helping her team or hitting the books, Lindsey is deeply involved in her community and church. Travis Carlile - Evansville North High School
Travis is a varsity member of the Football, Wrestling and Track teams at Evansville North High School. He has amassed 9 varsity letters in his first three years of high school and continues to be a major contributor to the Huskies athletic program. In 2008, Travis captained his football team from the running back position and averaged 7 yards per carry. Travis keeps the pressure on in the classroom where he has a 4.0 GPA with AP Honors courses and is valedictorian of his class of 314. Travis has been class President for two years and a four year member of the student council. In addition to his athletic and academic accomplishments, Travis sports a lengthy list of mentoring, volunteering and tutoring credits. Noah Wahl – Seymour High School
Noah is a member of the varsity Football, Basketball and Baseball teams at Seymour High School. He captains both the Football and Basketball teams and is a major contributor to the baseball squad. He is a spokesperson for the IHSAA Tobacco Prevention Program, a D.A.R.E. Role Model and a Freshmen Mentor. He has been in student government for all four years while in high school and was a Hoosier Boys State delegate and participated in the Senator Evan Bayh Service Leader Summit and the Senator Richard Lugar Leadership Symposium. While participating in all of these extracurricular activities, Noah has maintained a 4.8 GPA and finished his senior year atop his graduating class. Lauren Luce – South Knox High School
Lauren is a member of the Soccer and Basketball teams at South Knox High School. She has been a solid four year contributor to both squads and has led her teams to great on the field successes. During the fall of 2007, Lauren tore her ACL and was forced to miss the remainder of her season. Since the injury, Lauren has been an avid supporter of her fellow teammates and has rehabilitated her injury. She will play basketball for the University of Southern Indiana in the fall of 2008. While in the classroom, Lauren has maintained a 3.2 GPA and participated in numerous extracurricular activities. She has excelled enough to receive the full backing of her teachers, coaches and school administrators for this award. Jamison Crouch – Martinsville High School
Jamison is a 4 yr. member of the boys varsity golf team at Martinsville High School. He has been awarded the co-MVP and Mental Attitude Awards and has been a leader of his high school team for four consecutive years and recently took the team to the regional round of the IHSAA state tournament series shooting a 72 at the Martinsville sectional. Prior to his advancement into the regional round, Jamison led his team in their conference championship in May. At Hickory Stick Golf Club Jamison shot a 79 and tied for 5th individually winning an All-Conference award while his Martinsville team placed 3rd in the Mid-State Conference. Jamison has been playing Artesian golf since middle school where he was also the team MVP. While not on the course, Jamison is fully involved in his school courses – so much so that he has held a 3.2 or higher GPA for four years. Elizabeth Flood – Cathedral High School
Elizabeth is a member of the Cross-Country and Track and Field teams at Cathedral High School in Indianapolis. As a member of the cross-country team, Elizabeth has been a state finalist twice and received All-City, State, Sectional, Regional and 2nd Team All-State honors. In addition, her team has awarded her with the Most Valuable Runner, Perseverance, and Mental Attitude Awards. Elizabeth even set the course record in 2006 at the Plainfield Relays and finished second in her age group in the Indianapolis Mini Marathon as a sophomore. When she is not running, Elizabeth excels in the classroom at Cathedral. She is a Presidential Scholar, on High Honor Roll, a National Merit Scholar and Co-Valedictorian of her senior class. Additionally, Elizabeth is a leader in the classroom and participates in multiple extracurricular activities including the Model UN, and the Indiana Mathematics League. Austin Mudd – Hamilton Southeastern High School
Austin is a member of the boys swimming and diving team at Hamilton Southeastern HS. He is a four-year varsity letter winner, team captain, and four-year state finalist. Austin’s Royals team participated in the 2008 Swimming and Diving State Finals LIVE on IHSAASports.org in February. Austin’s efforts in the pool have not deterred him from participating in numerous school activities. He is a two-year member of the student council, a member of the National Honor Society, Principals Advisory Council, and the Athletic Council. Additionally, he is a Freshman Peer Mentor and a DARE Role Model. Despite the demands of his rigorous extracurricular activities, Austin has maintained a 4.3 GPA and will graduate with honors this spring. For Austin’s many accomplishments, he will receive a $1,000 scholarship from Dial One Hour Heating and Air for higher education costs.


Maggie Boeckman – Jasper High School
Maggie is a member of the girls tennis and volleyball teams at Jasper High School. As a member of the varsity tennis team at JHS, Maggie has played #1 singles for three seasons and been named All-Conference and All-district three consecutive years. As a freshman, Maggie received honorable mention All-State accolades and since has been named to the 1st and 2nd All State teams. Nearly a year ago, Maggie led her team to the state finals tournament in girls tennis. During the fall, Maggie leads the JHS volleyball squad, where she plays middle hitter. Her team has advanced to the state finals the past two years and Maggie has been named 1st Team All State. When she is not playing a leadership role on the court, Maggie works hard in her community as a member of the All Stars, Peer Mentors, FCA, SADD and as a Eucharistic Minister at her local church. Emily Schroeder - Hamilton Southeastern High School
Emily spends her winters in the pool for Hamilton Southeastern and aided her team in a second place finish at this year's Girls Swimming and Diving State Finals.Emily is ranked in the top 25 of her Senior class at HSE and is a member of the student council. When she is not winning medals in the pool - four state finals medals to her credit - she works as as DARE role model and a peer tutor. For Emily's dilligence in the classroom and in the poot, Dial One hour Heating and Air will award her with $1,000 towards her higher education costs.



Kyle House - East Central High School
Kyle swims for East Central High School and was the runner-up in the 50-yard Freestyle and the 100-yard Butterfly at the 2008 Boys Swimming and Diving State Finals. . In addition to his runner-up medals in the 2008 competition, Kyle was the 2007 State Champion in the 50-yard Freestyle. First place is not a new award for Kyle, he has also been ranked atop his class at East Central all four years of high school. Kyle is a member of the National Honor Society and was nominated as Outstanding Student of America 2007-2008. For his outstanding accomplishments, Dial One Hour Heating and Air will award Kyle with $1,000 for higher education costs.




Kelsey Peters - Goshen High School
Kelsey plays basketball and soccer and attends Goshen High School. She has excelled in the classroom during her four years of high school and ranks #1 in her class of 354. Her athletic ability has shined on the court and she has been named 1st team all conference in both soccer (three times) and basketball (two times). Kelsey has also participated in the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association all-star game and been an ambassador for Stay in Bounds. For Kelsey's dilligence in the classroom, in her communitiy and one the court, Dial One hour Heating and Air will award her with $1,000 towards her higher education.


Scott Milam - Lebanon High Schol
Scott plays soccer for Lebanon High School. He has been a tremendous asset to head coach Ryan Tucker and has been the captain of the varsity team for two years. Scott's captain status has not put a damper on his ability to lead the team as he has also been awarded the team MVP for two years running. As a Senior, Scott recieved numerous conference, district and city awards. Beyond the soccer field, Scott has put determined effort into his studies and ranks 2nd in his graduating class. For Scott's efforts and success, Dial One Hour Heating and Air will award him with $1,000 for higher education.


Kate Denlinger - Warsaw Community High School
Kate plays volleyball and basketball for Warsaw Community High School. She has been a four-year varsity member of the volleyball team and has twice been named to the Northern Lakes All Conference Team. During the winter, Kate averages 14 points and 12 rebounds a contest as co-captain of the varsity baskeball team. During her time away from the gymnasium, Kate is a member of the National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and is the co-facilitator for Kosciusko Endowment Youth Services (KEYS). For Kate's dilligence in the classroom, in her communitiy and one the court, Dial One hour Heating and Air will award her with $1,000 towards her higher education.


Jordan Chapman - Carmel High School
Jordan plays football for the 2007 5A State Champion Carmel Greyhound football team. In 2007, Jordan led the Greyhounds in tackles and assists and was voted by his coaches as one of four team captains. When Jordan relinquishes the pads, he continues his success. He has a 3.74 GPA while enrolled in AP level classes and scored in the top percentile on the SAT. He is also a National Merit Finalist. For Jordan's efforts and success, Dial One Hour Heating and Air will award him with $1,000 for higher education.


Zachary Savka - Indianapolis North Central High School
Zachary plays Tennis and Baseball for North Central High School in Indianapolis. He was part of the North Central State Championship doubles team in 2007 and recieved all MIC Conference honors, 2nd team All-State and Academic All-State. While continuing his excellence on the field, Zachary has maintained excellent marks in the classroom with a 4.0 GPA at North Central. For Zachary's hard work, Dial One Hour Heating and Air will award him with $1,000 towards his college education.


Elissa Mason - Indianapolis Roncalli High School
Elissa participates in Cross-Country, Swimming, Diving, and Track and Field at Roncalli High School. In 2007, Elissa placed 24th at the State Cross-Country Meet in Terre Haute, Indiana and was awarded with an All-State nomination and a spot on the All Star Team. In the classroom, Elissa maintains a 3.7 GPA and volunteers as a leader in the classroom. In her spare time, Elissa has volunteered for her local church, the 500 Festival Mini-Marathon, the Indianapolis Irish Festival and the Soles4Souls shoe drive. In recognition of her hard work, Dial One Hour Heating and Air will award her with $1,000 towards her higher education.



Tosha Embry - Henryville High School
Tosha plays golf, basketball and softball for Henryville High School and also carries a 4.2 GPA as a Senior. Tosha has played Varsity golf for four years and was selected to the 2007 Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association Academic All-State Team. She also is placed first or second in every school record catagory. In the classroom Tosha is a member of the National Honor Society and scored in the top percentile one the ACT. For Tosha's hard work, Dial One Hour Heating and Air will award her with $1,000 towards her college education.


Jordan Flynn - Washington Catholic High School
Jordan plays soccer at Washington Catholic High School and has overcome plenty of challenges to excell on the field and reach her goal of playing collegiate soccer. Kenneth Farris - Cardinal Ritter High School
Kenny runs Cross Country for Cardinal Ritter High School. He has been the #2 runner since his freshman year. In addition to running in the fall, Kenny paces the Ritter track team in the spring season. Off of the course, Kenny is an Eagle Scout, an usher, server, and eucharist minister at church (among many other things). Congratulations to Kenny on his many accomplishments. Josh Lavanchy - Southern Wells High School
Josh plays Football, Basketball and Baseball at Southern Wells and is ranked 2nd in his Senior class with a GPA above 4.0. He is also enrolled in college level courses at Ball State this year. Congratulations to Josh on his many accomplishments. For Josh's hard work, Dial One Hour Heating and Air will award him with $1,000 towards his college education.


Alyssa Chagnon - Sullivan High School
Alyssa plays Volleyball and Track at Sullivan High School and is ranked #1 in her senior class. She received Academic All-State Honors in October from the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association. This season Alyssa set two school records – Season Aces (currently at 77) and Career Assists (currently at 2155). The Sullivan Golden Arrows, were WIC Conference Champions.
