Sorry to be away for a week with no blog, but I am back and excited about the last week of the regular season in high school football.
Before taking a look at Week Number Nine. I would like to thank all of you who watched and listened to the Pairings Show for the IHSAA Football Championship on Tuesday. Paul Condry and I had a great time, and share in the excitement of the night.
Approximately 15 minutes before we went on the air, Paul and I had our first glimpse of the pairings for Classes 1A, 2A, and 3A. We received the 4A and 5A after we started the show. This method is utilized to make sure that the tournament is truly a blind draw, and as we are on the air, Commissioner Ress and his staff pull out ping pong balls and fill the brackets. I would be remiss if I did noth thank Commissioner Blake Ress and his staff for the opportunity and for their support throughout the night. Also, a huge thank you to the Indianapolis Colts for their hospitality and for their support of high school football in the state.
Big games this weekend to wrap up the regular season featuring Perry Central hosting Paoil, Fountain Central at Rockville, Churubusco at Lakeland, Ritter hosts Heritage Christian, South Spencer hosts Heritage Hills, Bishop Luers at Bishop Dwenger, Centerville host Winchester, Evansville Mater Dei at Evansville Reitz, harding at Ft. Wayne South, Delta hosts Shelbyvillle, Carmel at Ben Davis, and Center Grove at Warren Central, our Game of the Week on the website.
Make sure to listen to Indiana Sports Talk after the games for all of the scores from around the state.
