Floyd Central’s tennis season wrapped up on Saturday as the Highlanders fell to Terre Haute South in the semifinal of the Jasper Semistate.
The Braves took each of the five matches in straight sets as they prevailed by a 5-0 score.
The closest match for Floyd was at No. 1 doubles. The duo of Chelsea Burch and Chelsey Shackelford fell 7-5, 7-5 to Mallory Metheny and Emma Bilyeu.
South though dropped only 14 points though in the remaining four matches.
Hunter Bullock beat Carmen Schreiber 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1 singles. Taylor Bullock defeated Sandra McCaffrey 6-2, 6-3 at No. 2 singles and Maddie Kesler topped Shelby Garber 6-1, 6-2 in the final single position.
At No. 2 doubles Lexi Summers and Eesha Purohit won over Kayla Oldham and Emily Wimbec 6-2, 6-3.
South beat Columbus North in the championship match, 3-2.
