Bliha, Kresnak lead Indians to top spot

GRANGER — With the varsity squad of No. 14 Marian out of the picture, the field was wide open at Saturday's Flo Troeger Invitational.

Tyler Bliha and Ian Kresnak fired an 80 and 81 respectively to lead St. Joseph's to the win at Knollwood Country Club.

Adam Sumrall and the rest of the Knights' varsity squad were playing in the Culver Military Invitational.

Chad Casey was the medalist with a 2-over 74 for Adams, which finished in second place, four strokes behind the Indians. Tom Hauch added an 83 for the Eagles.

Riley's Tyler Stricker posted the only other score in the 70s, a 6-over 78 for the Wildcats.

Penn finished third with a 344. Mishawaka was fifth with a 349.
