Oak Hill girls land four on All-CIC team
Seven from county named to first team

Led by four Oak Hill standouts, Grant County had seven players named to the 2008-09 All-Central Indiana Conference girls’ basketball team.

Seniors Lauren Meese and Kristen Hicks and juniors Courtney Moses and Ashley Pickering led the Golden Eagles to the conference championship with a 7-0 record. The four also led the Eagles to a second consecutive Class 2A state runner-up finish.

Senior Sam Yeagy of CIC second-place Madison-Grant also was named to the team, along with senior Jamaica Westfall of Eastbrook and sophomore Jennifer McCoin of Mississinewa.

Rounding out the All-CIC team were seniors Paige Hanlin of Elwood and Lauren Hendricks of Frankton and sophomore Ali Norton of Blackford.

Junior Shelby Wells of Madison-Grant was an honorable mention.
