The Journal Review
The Crawfordsville girls basketball team is making its debut in the semistate round of the IHSAA 3A postseason tournament, and it’s doing so behind two of the school’s most skilled senior hoopsters.
Lexi Stevens and Mandi Johnson, whom Crawfordsville head coach Darren Haas described as “two of the best players this school has ever seen,” will lead the Athenians against the Owen Valley Patriots this Saturday at Southport High School in Indianapolis.
While the two share a common goal this weekend, one conversation with the talented in-out combo reveals how markedly different the two girls are. The contrast is obvious, from the way they look and play to the difference in their personalities.
